So, you want to know about Custom Cut Outs?
Simply put, we are two guys with some big ideas. Two life-long friends who dare to have a dream. Family men who took an idea, or a concept, if you will, and proceeded to swing for the fences.
How did we get started you ask?
Did I mention that we are both from big families? You know what that means. Countless ballgames, dance recitals, plays, band it was all one fun activity after another. You name it we've done it, and chances are so have you. After all, what was more fun than being involved? Your chance to be the star, your time to be alone on stage. It was sure fun being a kid. Now as parents we find ourselves at the same events, only now we are the spectators. It's our little ones' time to shine.
How do we capture that moment?
Of course we take pictures, but soon they end up in an album or a drawer. Then we record a video and run home to watch it. If we're lucky we watch it once or twice. How often would we watch video over live television? These options are great, but fleeting. So after years in the printing business we came up with an idea. Why not take that great photo of your child, enlarge it to life-size and stick it on the wall for everyone to see.
After all as a parent, what gives us more joy than our own child being the big star? Now that special moment is larger than life on the rec-room wall! How cool is that? Not to mention the kids are going to love it. What a boost for their self confidence. There is no question that family is everything, it's all about the family. The concept simply seemed right.
We started small and away we went. We are located in Burr Ridge, Illinois. Burr Ridge is a small suburb southwest of downtown Chicago. We continue to live in the same neighborhood we grew up in. Our business began on the local scene, but the horizon has been constantly moving. That's a good thing for everyone.
Here at Custom-Cutouts we pride ourselves on giving back to the community. After all that's where we live. When we visit your town for a photo shoot you can count on us to give back. A portion of the proceeds of a purchased Custom-Cutout will be donated back to the organizations that host the shoot. This is our way of giving back to the community. This practice allows any organization to earn extra capital, so as they may be able to offer more programs or simply keep their costs down.
